Ragú is a brand name, marketed version of an Italian-style sauce known as Ragù. The Ragú brand was first sold in 1937 – and currently one of many consumer brands in the portfolio of food giant Unilever. It is the best selling U.S. brand of pasta sauce. Ragú was acquired by the Lipton and Bestfoods companies before merging with Unilever. The Ragú pasta sauce line consists of smooth Old World Style sauces, Chunky sauces, bold Robusto! sauces, as well as organic and light pasta sauces. While most well known for selling jar packaged pasta sauce, Ragú also has a line of pizza sauces.

MAMA’S BEST EVER SPAGHETTI & MEATBALLS

A classic Italian-American dish that can be as simple or fancy as you want it to be.

Ingredients
* 1 lb. lean ground beef
* 1/2 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
* 1 egg
* 1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) Ragu® Old World Style® Pasta Sauce
* 8 ounces spaghetti, cooked and drained

Directions
1. Combine ground beef, bread crumbs and egg in medium bowl; shape into 12 meatballs.
2. Bring Pasta Sauce to a boil over medium-high heat in 3-quart saucepan. Gently stir in uncooked meatballs.

3. Reduce heat to low and simmer covered, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until meatballs are done. Serve over hot spaghetti and garnish, if desired, with grated Parmesan cheese.
